THE BRIEF: Revamp outdated packaging for Trane and American Standard's smart thermostat product line.  Incorporate a new design for a "moniker" representing the "Home" and "Diagnostic" features. Develop packaging options for both the homeowner-facing audience as well as the dealer-facing audience who purchase and install the thermostats for their customers.

THE CHALLENGE: Creating packaging that stands out on the shelf, while simultaneously providing dealers the important information they need right away. Working on a tight deadline with a printing vendor located overseas.

THE SOLUTION: The new packaging styles developed are fit for the homeowner audience and dealer audience, going through a proper approval process in order to be printed and implemented. The homeowner packaging is eye-catching and friendly, while the dealer packaging presents the important information up-front in an easily digestible format. New moniker designs are created for the "Home" and "Diagnostic" features and are seamlessly merged into the branding without taking away distraction from the product or main brand. Google and Amazon partnerships are integrated in an approved manner and are carefully represented as a beneficial feature of the thermostats.
